annoyed at DH's friend

About two weeks ago, we made plans with DH's friend and his new girlfriend for this Saturday.

On Monday, DH texted the friend to confirm we're still on. Friend said he'll check with the girlfriend and tell us 'no later than tomorrow morning' ...

Tuesday morning comes and goes. No answer.

Wed evening, DH texts the friend twice ... no response at all.

Thursday, DH texts yet again. No response again.

Just now, DH got a Facebook message from the friend saying:

Dude
So sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner
Angies been so busy that I haven't been able to ask her about saturday
I just did last nite she has a wedding and all her family's coming in tomorrow for it so we need to re-sched


Um ... what the f- .... didn't they know about this wedding two weeks ago?!?!

I'm pissed!!!!

We aren't making plans with this friend again ... he can make plans if he wants and we'll consider going.

Ehhh...not making excuses, but you know how things are when it's a new relationship...you get mad stupid and fairly inconsiderate because you're all hopped up on butterflies and shyt. LOL

But yeah, I also wouldn't make plans again; I'd wait for them to reach out.

I'd be annoyed about the flakiness but would be more annoyed at the lack of a response. Beginnings of relationships people don't want to ruffly any feather but why couldn't he respond just saying 'sorry haven't talked to her yet - will do soon' instead of leaving you hanging.

i hate boys - this is the same situation as DH & his friends - they can never make plans and leave EVERYTHING to the last minute!
