Another Disney Question :)
So if you had the choice would you rather:1) Save $50 and stay at one of the Disney All-Star resorts
-OR
2) Pay another $50 and stay at either the Disney Port Orleans-French Quarter Resort or Port Orleans Riverside resort
We are only staying on the Disney property for 2 nights (we are staying at timeshare the rest of the time). Opinions please! We've stayed at an All-Star resort before so we know what that is like, but we've never stayed at one of the ones they consider a step above those. Thanks!

Re: Another Disney Question :)
I'd pay the extra $50 and do something new!!! $50 isn't much and it'd be a little extra treat!

Re: Another Disney Question :)
I'd pay the extra $50 because really, it's only $50. Plus not to say that the Port Orleans won't have families, but with the low prices of the All-Star Resorts you're guaranteed to be surrounded by kids at all times!

I guess I'd pay the $50 if you're interested in that.

Re: Another Disney Question :)
$50 total is nothing! It's usually like $75+ per night extra from what I remember! For two nights, you might as well get away from all the loud kids and stuff if you can and do the Port Orleans. From what I remember, they have a great french restaurant there, too.

Thanks! Think we will be doing either the French Quarter or Riverside resort! Anyone stayed at either? Which one is better?

Re: Another Disney Question :)
Me, I would save the $50. We did a few days in Disney for our honeymoon and stayed at a Disney resort outside of Disney, so you had to take the bus they provided to get to all the theme parks. You are there in like 20 minutes and personally to me a hotel room is a hotel room. I also wasn't surrounded by kids either. We woke up in the morning, went to the theme parks and then came back to the room. I'm not sure if you're planning on sitting at the pool all day, when then I would say kids are gonna be there, but since Disney is children centered, there's gonna be kids there too.

We decided to splurge a little because we figure once we have kids we will definately be taking them to the value resorts since they are more kid themed (and cheaper haha), so for now while its still the two of us we are going to try out the French Quarter to try something different

DH and I just got back from the French Quarter! It was great! Nice, Clean and basically served its purpose since we were out at the parks all day. $50 really isnt that bad (considering its Disney). Have fun!!!!Welcome New Vendors
