another name change question

i'm going to social security on lunch today (wish me luck!).

was it really a huge pain in the butt? what documents did you need to bring with you?

i bought my marriage license and my passport. While there were 50000 people in there my number got called quickly. I was out in under an hour

You need your original marriage certificate and a form of ID. They did not take it though, they just looked at it and filled out the form. I downloaded to SS form and pre filled it out so it was super quick!

i was supposed to go to a SS office in queens, but the guy at the window let me use my office address.

it's on 48th and broadway.
