anyone know of any job openings (for DH)?

he's been looking for months now and still can't find anything, not even a poopy 'for now' kinda job

ideally, he'd do something with marketing or sales but at this point, he'll apply for any kind of job (and possibly switch career tracks)

his being unemployed is taking a lot out of us .... it's tough to survive off of just my salary, not to mention the fact that DH is pretty upset about not being able to contribute to our household right now.

i really do hate to ask for a job, but unfortunately in this crappy job market, you really need to have an 'in' to find a job.

i have a friend who has been out of work for almost 9 months, and she takes any temporary assignments, internships, even some unpaid work, all in the hopes of making the right connection with a company who will either take a chance on her, or finds the budget to hire her full time. she is on unemployment in the meantime.

she spends only 1 hour a day applying for jobs, so as not to burn out and go insane over it, but i admire her so much for her determination.

sadly, i don't know of any jobs, but i hope that the story about my friend could help give your DH some hope!

thanks - i'll def share the story with DH ... hopefully it'll at least give him some ideas. He's been applying pretty much non-stop (hours and hours of job searching & applying each day! i honestly don't know how he does it) ... he gets interviews but no offers ... it really stinks.

at least he's getting interviews! but i know how discouraging it could be when you start envisioning working at the new job and then it doesn't come through.

if i come up with any other ideas, i will let you know! one of my friend's ideas is trying to make sure that your resume gets in the hands of the hiring manager or HR directly, so he has a better chance of making that connection. good luck!!

his major was Broadcasting .... he likes editing movies and whatnot (like that thing i put up a couple of weeks ago of his mascotting days) he would do something with editing too (he loves it). but his experience is almost all in marketing / promotions

has he checked out MTV? I feel like they always have positions posted on their careers section... not sure if anything fits his experience, but yet something else to check out.
