Anyone NOT happy with proofs?

It's not that I hate my wedding pro pics, but after I look at everyone else's I sort of feel mine are just okay. I think part of the reason is when we met with our photog we didnt want any crazy shots of me laying down, etc but everything else was fine! I think maybe they took that as we wanted more traditional pictures, but that's not the case.

I just think that there is nothing WOW about them. I have very few shots with just me and my girls, and practically no shots of me getting ready. I know that this is probably my fault in maybe I wasn't clear about what we wanted. I know our album is still going to be amazing because there were more than enough pics we like to make the album beautiful, but just wondering if anyone else felt this way?

dont look at them for awhile. and then look again in a month

when i first got them back i was a bit disappointed for a few reasons. but now, im okay with it.

i think i just had really high expectations....give it some time

Yea, I didn't love mine really...I still don't. I mean they are fine, but I wish I had more of an artistic photographer. But then I remember that we got some good shots, most are very traditional and lovely, but I am not going to care in 10 years +. Actually I am almost a year out from the wedding and I don't really care that much now.

Sorry you don't LOVE them, though.

Yes, I feel this way too. Which is maybe why I still haven't submitted my choices for the albums and enlargements (over a year later).

I'm trying to motivate myself to do it just so I can be done with this vendor asap.

i lovemy pics but everytime a new bride posts hers im like..man i wish we did that or why didnt we go here for pics etc etc..

i have ONE shot with my mom.....really?? shes my mom there shouldve been much more
...............im not very happy (I just got my proofs last night) and one of the first things I sadi was that I hope he edits them to look more professional

Thanks Ladies! Listening to what you said does make me feel better! I am also very critical of myself in pics and so is my husband so that could be it as well! LOL :)

this is good advice ! i too had high expectations and when i got my proofs i was dissapointed. I still am. But now that I look at them a lil bit later, I do appreciate them more. They arent as artsy as I would have liked and I am missing some family shots but nothing is perfect. I am thinking of doing a day after shoot to maybe get the really edited pics that I wanted.

My parents are divorced and my mom was too busy trying to stay from my dad that I don't have a single picture with my mom and dad together.

I don't blame the photographer though.
