Anyone recommend a female OB/GYN in Queens/Nassau?

I am embarassed to admit this, but I have not seen a GYN in a really long time because I sort of have a fear of them.

I have had a few bad experinces that have turned me off to them.

Since we are going to plan for a family soon, I think it's time I go back.

Anyone suggest someone who is really nice and patient??

Thanks

I agree, Dr. Jennifer Hanuer is a wonderful doctor-

I had quite a few bad gyno experiences and as a result, hadn't gone for a very long time.

I highly recommend her.

Good Luck!

Re: Anyone recommend a female OB/GYN in Queens/Nassau?

I adore my doctor- there was 2 female doc's in the office, but one retired, so now it's just Dr. Stern (who I preferred anyway!). She's on Marcus Ave. in New Hyde Park- she's delivered a few babies in DH's family (and will be delivering Mimi's very shortly!!). She's so funny, she really puts me at ease (not that there's every anything really funny at the OB/GYN!!

when I did a search for her #, I found this, might be helpful for you (Dr. Stern's info is shown w/ Dr. Wallace, the one who just retired)

NHP docs

Dr. Frances Stern
2500 Marcus Ave
New Hyde Park
516-437-8300

good luck w/ your family planning!

I've been going to Ronnie Salzman in Bellmore forever now... she is the BEST!!! only bad thing, she's no longer OB - just GYN :(

There's another female in the practice, Dr. Judy Mittleman, and a couple of males. I followed them here when they closed their practice in Bayside. Sux because that was in walking distance.
