Beatles Burlesque

So last night I went to my first ever burlesque show - Beatles Burlesque at Public Assembly in Brooklyn www.beatlesburlesque.com/ Pretty much a burlesque show set to Beatles covers.

OMG I feel like such a prude!!!

My MOH was go-go dancing before the burlesque show so I came out to support her *and brought DH haha) and she was super cute dancing around in her bustier and hot pants...

but holy nipple tassles batman - once the real dancers came on, i was blushing like a school girl! 'lady scoutington' danced to 'Birthday,' stripped down to nothing and after pulling off her pasties, covered her nips & hoo-ha with frosting!!! My MOH's boyfriend turns to DH and I and says 'that doesn't usually happen!'

And then 'tina tassle' - a veryyyyy voluptuous dancer with way more confidence than i'll ever have - danced to 'I Want You (Heavy)' and did a sexy blindfolded dance, stripping down until she was swinging her tassles in circles!

Clearly I'm a huge prude, but still had a ton of fun. Definitely check it out if you're looking for something different & totally random to do on a Monday night.

Re: Beatles Burlesque

Oh boy I would have totally had some seriously RED cheeks! The Irish in me really comes out when I get embarrassed - I legit blush!

That does sound like a totally different fun kinda night!

When I was in Miami a few weeks ago the bride's work friend was telling us all about a sex show in the east village that is apparently really trendy right now....I believe the place is called The Box (Ummmm...yeah)! The girl who was telling us about it is totally conservative...both in the way she acts and looks...she works at Chanel and wears all of their suits and ballet flats, etc. I guess she's got a wilder side because some of the stuff she was telling us was CRAZY!

I think I might be a little too faint of heart for that kinda stuff.....maybe....

Re: Beatles Burlesque

I love burlesque but...I don't think I'd be able to handle watching the dancers gyrate to the Beatles.

The Beatles are precious...and I would then have images burned in my head to music that means the world to me.

Yes, it's only on Mondays.... DH was saying it should be on a weekend night or even a Thursday night, since we felt like we couldn't stay the whole time because we both had work.

It was fun - definitely out of my comfort zone for sure!!!
