Can anyone else relate?
So the armpit waxing post got me thinking....I LOVE looking good for DH...I love getting dressed for drinks/dinner or even just around the house in comfy clothes but still looking cute and put together. This effort isn't entirely for him of course - I really enjoy feeling put together.
But I've been realizing that I also have been getting increasingly comfortable with letting myself go a bit.
For example, I've been shaving my legs less regularly (more now with the nice weather and shorts) and I've been pushing it with my hair in the sense that I've been washing it less (on purpose - I used to wash and dry it everyday). I've gained a few lbs which is weird bc my weight doesn't usually fluctuate. I guess this is what ice cream does to a girl.
I know I'm probably not making a ton of sense and that my thoughts aren't entirely coherent but at this point I would totally let my armpit hair grow long enough to get it waxed whereas in the past I wouldn't think of it becasue I wouldn't want DH to see his wife with hairy gross pits. HA!
Just a silly ramble...

Re: Can anyone else relate?
i'm actually the opposite ... to a point. When we're home in PJs, i'm a shlump. I wear PJ pants & an extra-large t-shirt, my hair's up in a ponytail, and no makeup obviously.
But when we go out, i tend to dress nicer than i used to because i want DH to be proud to introduce me as his wifey (as stupid as that sounds lol). I've started using more makeup, leaving my hair down, buying 'cute' outfits, and i've even tried wearing heels (though that prob won't happen again since i hate heels lol)

Oh no, I can totally relate to this as well! I LOVE getting dressed to go out for the same reason....I guess I'm basically the same as I used to be but I just am more relaxed with specific things!

Re: Can anyone else relate?
i love getting dressed up but i got dumpy this winter.. clothes dont fit right. i try going shopping but everything looks like shyt!!!!! i went to h&m and saw a cute pair of pint green shorts with a cute gold belt to match my new wedges... i put them on and looked at my cellulite and im like..*** was i thinking to even consider shorts.hopefully when i get a tan it'll be better.
around the house i wear whatever.. DH walks around in his underwear and so do i. i sleep naked. its 87 degrees in my house. middle of winter, windows open and im in shorts. so we dont care.
when we go out i do attempt to look fly

Re: Can anyone else relate?
We've always been super comfortable with eachother - which in other words means when we're home and have no plans whatsoever, he's in a pair of shorts, and I'm just in a t-shirt and underwear. And we looove this.We work together also, so I try to spruce it up a tiny bit every now and then so when I see him in the hallways, he can think Ohhh Damnnn hahah. When we go out, I try to look cute also and so does he, so it all works out.
I think being comfortable w/ eachother is the best thing ever. I've never felt more comfortable in my skin before!

I'm the same way. Sometimes I look in the mirror and feel sorry for him.

But it's okay Roz- when we look good, we look GOOD.

big fat ITA
I was even telling DH the other day that he is the only person in my life that I am never embarrassed about anything
like Roz we too look like shyt at home and at work I think I am one of the worst dressers LOL eventho I would never leave the house w/o being put together.
when we go out I always look great. extra m/u, cute heel shoes and dresses (never used to wear dresses before DH)
I like the way we are, I dont feel any of the pressures I used to feel when dating other ppl or being embarrassed about whatever physical feature I have that I hate
