cat nip

Is it bad for cats? not bad per se, but is it like a drug?

Slash is a year old and we just started giving him toys with nip......good? bad? okay?

Re: cat nip

I think it's ok in moderation. My cats go crazy when ever I give it to them. I would just use one of my odd socks (you know, that 'disappear' in the dyer) and have them play with it.

Re: cat nip

catnip is fine as a treat. i wouldn't leave a bag of it accessible. it WILL get demolished, as might your furniture.

Re: cat nip

supposedly catnip is not addictive or hurtful to the cat - if you just give him toys that contain catnip it should be fine.

as the pp said, i wouldn't leave a pile on the floor for your cat to roll around in.

we usually sprinkle some catnip on our cats' scratching post and it's totally fine.

Re: cat nip

Its fine in moderation...and I say that if only for your floor/furniture's sake than for your cats.
