Celebrate your engagement anniversary?

Am i a big dork or do others still celebrate your engagement anniversary? Ours is 2yrs today

and i want to go out and celebrate like we did last year

Ours is 2 years today as well!!!!!! By all means go out and celebrate. We will probably just hang at home, we will both be getting home too late.

We got engaged in Disney World on 12/14/02 and we went back last year to celebrate it, and we're going back this year!
We're leaving on Friday actually

We celebrate for 2 reasons - one is our engagement and the 2nd is it is his parents wedding anniversary. Since his father is deceased - it means a lot to him to do something to honor his father.

We have never celebrated it, mainly because our 1 year engaged was a month after our wedding so with all that then the honeymoon, then moving and some other stuff, all we basically did was say oh yeah remember what happened a year ago today!!!

But then again today I did wake up realizing it was the 7th and say, do you realize that we have known each other 66 months as of today!

OMG!!! It's our Anniversary of getting engaged too!!! 12/7/01.....3 years today.....how time flies!

We got our first Christmas tree that day, and he put the ring on an ornament.....and I just realized we are getting our tree tonight as well!!! So I guess we're celebrating....ha!

That is funny I was just thinking the same thing...ours will be 2 years on the Dec. 14th. I think he is getting sick of all the anniversaries..the day we met...our engagement...our wedding day...so I will surely remind him when the day comes but I think we will be sticking to our wedding day for an official celebration!

We got engaged at the Algonquin (in NYC) and he insisted that night on sitting on the couch in front of the window. We were sitting elsewhere and he made us switch to that seat once the people that were there got up. I thought it was pretty weird, but after he proposed and all that, he said he had wanted to pick a special, specific seat so that we could go back there each year on the anniversary and 'relive' it. My DH is not a big romantic guy, so even now I'm shocked at the forethought!

Anyhow, that's a long way of saying that we did go back and celebrate this past June for the first engagement anniversary.

our engagement anniversary is also our dating anniversary, which is new years. So I guess you can say we celebrate it.

Ours was on Monday...2 years. I completely forgot but when I came home from work, DH had cooked me dinner to celebrate...Cornish hens, orzo and broocolini!!
