Cleaning and Storing Your Dress
Can you recommend a cleaner that you used in Nassau County? How much did they charge to clean it and seal it? TIA!

Re: Cleaning and Storing Your Dress
i checked out so many different places and they were all crazy expensive!i finally stumbled upon the services that Davids Bridal offers and i would HIGHLY recommend them!
I bought the boxed kit itself for $89.99 from the store. it was on sale for $99 and the woman at the cashier had a coupon and swiped it for me
but it is regularly priced at $150When you get the box, you jot own on their check list everything that you are including in the box and there is a price point for each thing, like $5 for a garter etc...
The return shipping is already prepaid with Fedex and you just have to ship it to them. You get the dress back within 3 weeks and they do a beautiful job, completely sealed, perfectly preseved and artfully arranged.
Hope this helps!

Re: Cleaning and Storing Your Dress
I was just going to ask the same thing. Does anyone know pricing for dry cleaners to have your dress cleaned and preserved?I got my dress at Wedding Salon in Manhasset, and my seamstress recommended a dry cleaners in the city, which her sister owns, and it's only a few blocks from my office so I am going to drive it in one day this week. But I was wondering what I should expect in terms of pricing. I asked them at the dry cleaners, but they said they need to see the dress.

I think it does, I just saw some pics when looking up reviews. It seems like the David's Bridal wedding gown preservation gets great reviews!! I think I'm going to get my dress cleaned/preserved through them when I'm ready. Thanks so much for the info!!

i just called my MIL and told her to check. it does say Davids Bridal on the front. There are 2 options to their cleaning. You can go for the cheaper one, which is basically the price of the initial kit (what you paid for when you go to DB to buy it) so, regularly, its $150 but sometimes on sale for $99 and obviously that is just for the dress. If you also want to preserve, your headpiece, veils, garters, other stuff..its extra. If you pay for the basic option, the dress is only guaranteed for like 10-20 years, can't remember which and comes in like a different box. However, if you pay for the upgraded version, you have a lifetime guarantee and it comes fully sealed so absolutely nothing will happen to it. (this is the option i chose becauase i already put so much money into that dress, what was so more, you know?) and even with the upgrade it was still less than $200!

That's good to know. I'll definitely choose the option that includes the lifetime guarantee. I'm not in a rush so I'll wait to see when they are running a sale again so that I can get the kit for less. Thanks again!
