COUPON!!!

After watching extreme couponing and hearing about writing to manufacturers to get coupons, I decided to give it a try.

Rice-a-roni thanked me for writing but is 'unable' to mail me coupons. Jerks.

However, Wonderbread/Hostess sent me a coupon for a free loaf of bread. Holla! All I did was go on the wonder website and say how much i love their products and asked if they could send me coupons. And they DID! And I think I wrote the comments last week so they turned that around pretty quickly.

I'm going to keep this up and see how many companies send me coupons. Has this worked for any of you? If so, what companies are responding and sending coupons and actually appreciating feedback from their customers? Share!

i wrote to a chips company cuz the bag suckked.. all the chips were burnt! the owner sent me a CASE of chips.

On extreme couponing the lady from Philly said she had bought diapers and the diapers had stains on them and she wrote a letter to the company and they sent her a box of free diapers.

I wonder if I write to Rice-A-Roni that I'm pissed that they didnt send me coupons if they will then send me coupons...

No, you're definitely right. Actually you reminded me about some Dannon Greek yogurt I bought a few months ago that had an April expiration date but was ripe beyond belief. I ended up just throwing them out but now I'm going to write to Dannon and tell them about it.

check the inside of boxes and packages. That's where most of the manufactor coupons are hiding. Also watch what catalina coupons you get when you check out. To get them you must use your savings card though because it keeps a record of what type of items you buy.

Great point. I think Fiber One cereal hides the coupon on the inside on the box.

Wrote to Dannon about the rancid yogurt and I received an email back today that they will be mailing coupons to me! I didnt even ask for coupons this time. Im having fun with this....

I do this all the time.

Just go into your cupboards... every product has the phone number address on them.

Spend an hour writing emails. I promise you'll hear back from a lot of them.
