Did anyone experience credit report problems after changing their name?

3 months ago I went through the whole process of cleaning up my credit report so we could look for a house, and now, all of a sudden, I have all these problems with it again (I know I do because I have a credit watch due to previous fraud). It's not someone opening new accounts, It's existing accounts being added to my report or my actual ones being taken away. They keep telling me it's not my name cause they go by SSN, but I think that's bull and I'm having another Nicole M's stuff put on my report. Anyone have this happen?

YES!!!! I am going through this nightmare at this time! I got married 2 weeks ago. When I came home from my HM, dh and I went to SS and changed my name. That very same day we went to our bank to go for a home equity loan. I had my credit report printed out and I went over it there since you are not allowed to take it. Everything on my report was correct. There was one thing that was bad but was not my fault and I have the paperwork to prove it so he suggested I send it in to the credit agency which I have done. Well I went to another bank and my credit report was pulled and ALL my DH brpthers x-wife's stuff is on my report now. This is not 2 week after I had my original report pulled. I now have more than 20 negative reports all from her. The problem is...we have the same first middle and last name! It is such a nightmare and I do not even know where to begin! So basically you are not alone in this never ending nightmare!
