Does anyone LOVE their job? Hate it?

Boards are slow, so I figured I'd start some chatting

I'm also starting a new job in a couple of weeks and I'm really, really hoping I love it. I've been at a job for like 10+ years that I absolutely hate, and I'm so tired of hating what I do every day. My new job is actually related to my college degrees, so I'm hoping that's a big step in the right direction.

i don't LOVE my job by any stretch of the imagination and I don't HATE it either...i'm somewhere in between....

Awww V! That's awful...and I totally feel your pain

To elaborate for the girls who hate it--do you hate what you actually do, or do you just really not like the people you work with/bosses? Or both?

It really depends on the day but I hate my job more days than I love my job and I am a paralegal. My masters degree is in Poli Sci- Public law. I wanted to do political research. I even dropped out of law school because I didnt want to be an atty or work at a law firm and I have now been here 6 years. I have an Associates Degree in paralegal studies.

I LOVE my job, I LOVE the field I'm in :)

I'm a graphic designer, and I'm a consultant at a beauty company right now. I love what I chose as a career, I don't exactly love the company and work I am doing right now, but I LOVE my boss and I'd stay here forever because she is the BEST. Still, I am looking to move on, but I am grateful for having work in this horrible job market.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my job and the people that I work with! When I first started here ten years ago (holy moley where does the time go ), I was hesitant, but I have to say that I work with some of my best friends in the whole wide world! We're always there for each other and they are the ones that I turn to in a crisis or when I just need a laugh. After getting married, and now that we're talking about kids, my DH said to me the other night, 'I'm so glad that our kids are going to be growing up with your friends kids because not only are our future kids going to have the best friends, but we will also.'

Each day is a different day filled with tons of different possibilities and I LOVE going into work each day...sometimes I think that the adults have more fun than the kids!

I like my full time job. I'm a TA in a preschool for children who have Autism. I work in the early intervention class I love the people and the children that I work with. I also started a new part time job as a Special Ed. Itinerant Teacher where I deliver services to children in their homes. Right now I only have one case 2x a week, but it's extra money and I enjoy it.

I don't like the situation I'm in. I'm currently a consulant which means no paid time off or vacations. If I don't work, I don't get paid

I love it - especially w/ the recent promotion, I'm doing exactly what I want to be doing. And the field, love that as well for now.

I am in LOVE with what I do! Fashion is my Passion! If only it were closer to home and they didn't stalk what we are doing on our Computers I would be able to talk you lovely ladies more often I MISS YOU GUYS

I'm with Antonella, I don't love it or hate it. Sometimes that's even worse because you don't get the kick in your butt to make a change.

I like most of the people I work with and love that DH works in the same office since it makes the days go faster and I have a commute buddy but I just don't feel challenged by the tasks. I wish I was in a more creative field.

I DO love that I was part of a project involving the World Trade Center which is why I got involved here to begin with. Very cool to see the design and now the construction.

I actually like what I do but I don't like the situation I'm in or most of the people I work with. By situation I mean, my boss calls me his secretary (but my real title is Adminstrative Assistant) and I actually do the same work as an Assitant Project Manager but my company would NEVER give me that title. Proof? My boss' son worked here as temp (which our union doesn't allow but that's besides the point) to help out around the office. A month and a half later...BOOM...he's given a position as Assistant Project Manager!!!! EXACTLY!!!

But every day I pray to get laid off so that I can switch divisons and get to the divison that has more promise and job security (you can't quit a job and go to another, the union doesn't allow you too).

to the unemployment fairy!

I love my job and my coworkers (well most of them) I am so happy here..it took me a long time to find a great work place

hmmm i like my job . i like the people i work with, i like what we do as a non profit company. i like my job compared to what i used to do.....i hate hate hate my commute!!! 1 1/2 of train ride hell!!!
