Does it feel unreal......

that your married??

For me, it doesn't feel like we're married....maybe its because we already lived together before we tied the knot.

At first I would make the mistake of calling DH 'Fiance' and now I get it right 'Husband.'

Sometimes I think it won't settle in until I am pregnant.........(which won't be for a few years).

Is anyone feel the same way?

I felt that way more in the beginning but now I'm getting used to it. It takes some time, even tho we lived together before too, it's still different. I'm not sure how or why, but it is. We're closer now, I think bc we're actually family and can move onto the next step (house, baby, etc).

Sometimes it still feels unreal tho, I giggle occaisonally when people say 'your husband' or he calls me his wife.

I feel the exact same way ladies...we lived together b4 also & now it just feels different & we do feel closer. We still tease e/o 'come & give your husband a kiss' & it is so great when he introduces me as his wife. It feels official now, like Cindy said we can move on/think about the next phase (babies & houses)

Yea, didn't feel any different to me or DH.. we're still together and still happy and that's all that's important

Yeah not much different (and we didn't live together) but just even more happy and more in love!!! and an extreme feeling of comfort as DH is now my family!

We also lived together and for the most part it is the same but I agree- it does feel like we are closer than before. Its been 3 months and I still get a thrill everytime he introduces me as his wife. I love being married!

I totally understand that feeling. DH and I also lived together before we got married. I don't feel it all the time. I only feel it when I have to give someone my last name (which is now changed) Otherwise, when it is just us two, it feels almost like it always did. I think I will def. feel 'Married' when we have kids....like you said...not for a couple of years!!!

I've felt since our wedding day that for something so life changing I didn't feel different at all. My husband kept telling me he felt different (quite obviously just to make me feel better)..

Finally just the other night as we were sitting on the couch eating pizza and watching a movie (like we have done at least one weekend night since we moved into our condo almost 2 years ago) he looked at me and said 'you kow what, its not really so different, huh'...

But at the same time its so comforting to know that we officially get to do that together forever

I HAVE LIVED WITH MY HUSBAND PRIOR TO MARRIAGE AND I SAID TO HIM IT DOES NOT FEEL MUCH DIFFERENT FUNNY THING IS WE SPOKE ABOUT THIS EARLIER AND WE AGREED IT FELT LIKE 'NEWLYWEDS' WHEN WE FIRST MOVED IN TOGETHER ..


DONT GET ME WRONG IT SO SURREAL NOW, I MEAN I FEEL SO MUCH CLOSER AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE BABY FACTOR AND HEARING HIM SAY 'MY WIFE'

HE IS MORE ADORABLE NOW THAN EVER B4. STUFF FEELS LIKE 'OURS' RATHER THAN MINE AND YOURS ...

I AM JUST SO BLESSED TO BE MARRIED TO SUCH A GREAT MAN,.... THE MAN OF MY DREAMS.!!
