What do you write to someone who didn't give a gift? Not even a card?

I basically just took out the part of thank you for the gift part, but still made it sound like that's what I wrote in all the cards so they wouldn't know one way or the other. My MOH, my SIL, and DH's cousins didn't give us a gift or a card so this is what I wrote in theirs:

'Thank you for helping us to make memories that will last us a lifetime. We hope you had a wonderful time at our wedding and look foward to celebrating many more happy times with you in the future.'
