I literally just thought it was the near by train passing untill my sister called to see if we were ok LOL

yes i work on the third floor in the city and it brought me right back to 9/11 and i got crazy butterflies in my stomach

I am in Queens- I think they wanted to make sure there were no cracks in the foundation. We were allowed back in after they checked. It was pretty scary though.

We felt it here on the 43rd floor right above Grand Central. We were told we could leave if we were scared, but asked to stay. I'm the only one who stayed. I deserve a day off or a cookie or something for this.

ETA: The building has been checked and there is absolutely no damage and they are not calling for an evacuation.

We are right by Wall Street .. our whole building started shaking.. Slowly people started getting their stuff and looking around. But the news was pretty good about getting the word out.

ugh that's all i could think of as we were going down the stairs. i wasn't in the city for 9/11 but the thought of hundreds of ppl going down the stairs as the bldg collapsed wouldn't leave my mind. i wanted to just run downstairs and get out

I was in a basement watching my friend's kids. The couch started to shake and they have a key chain collection that started to shake. It was creepy!

My whole house shook for abut 15 seconds..DH and I ran downstairs and the chandelier was swaying...so crazy....2012 anyone?

Oooh that sounds delicious! Yes, please! Everyone actually came back now- after their hour long smoke break.

You should've seen the way these grown women ran, screaming from this building. I was embarassed for them. I understand the post-9/11 terror and everything but standing directly outside of a building that you suspect is going to fall isn't the brightest thing to do. Neither is getting on the elevator or better yet, the subway.
