favorite tan/beige and slate blue paint colors

Sooo.... I'm moving abruptly (huge part of my absence lately) and I need to know your favorite colors of tan/beige and slate blue paint colors.

Or any other colors you think would be nice.

I have 6 rooms to totally paint (and scrub down like you wouldn't believe, but that's another story - filthy fuc*ing animals!!!).

Thanks Guys!!

PS - Benjamin Moore paint too.... but if not than any other color and brand is fine. thanks!!!

Re: favorite tan/beige and slate blue paint colors

I actually like Behr paint (Home Depot)... its cheaper and just as nice. I am very happy with the paint and DH has used it in 4 places now.

I painted all my rooms warm colors, but a lot of them were beige in color. ONe room I love is my den. I wanted to keep it light but beige so I chose a color called Chocolate Froth. Its very pretty. Paint number 720C-2 I accented it (the wainscoat in the room) with White Truffle (720C-1)

My den:

My hallway (and the undercoat of my living room wall that I sponged painted), is a little more yellow/orange beige. I used a color called Biloxi (300E-1). Its very warm and cheery. I highly recommend this color.

In my living room is more peach/orange but still in the beige family. I used Calm Air (300E-2) I sponge painted that color over Biloxi on one LR wall. I love that room. Its so cheery. But its a large room, in a small room it might be to much.

Here is a pic of the living room:

And the wall I sponge painted:

In my bedroom I did a light yellowish-beige color called Cozy Cottage (740C-1). Its pretty but a little greenish. I mainly picked it because it matched the colors in my comforter.

Their blues are nice but I don't know much about them. I am a big believer of painting walls in warm tones or if making a room more cool colors then keeping the walls neutral.

Whatever you choose get a small sample first and put a little on the wall. Make sure you put it where the light shines on it and where the room is darkest and look at it both in day and night light. Also colors can look beautiful but in large amounts can be to much so put the sample against the wall and squint at it.

Good luck with painting.

Re: favorite tan/beige and slate blue paint colors

We actually used a martha stewart color but had it copied by Home Depot so it's Behrs paint. It was Martha Stewart's 'Hemp' we used it for our living room and hallway. We did the molding in ivory.

I replied on FB but I painted my living room Carlisle Cream (BM) and the bedroom we did in Gentle Gray with an accent wall in a darker color called comet. Both of them turned out bluish though. I will try to take pics when I get home tonight and post em for you!

Re: favorite tan/beige and slate blue paint colors

My whole house is tan/beige pretty much ( i have a small house, lol) and our upstairs is a great slate blue. I need to find the cans so i can get the names. I think the upstairs is called something navy and its a ralph lauren color. I wish i could be more of a help with the names. Our downstairs is 'beach' themed, meaning I chose my colors based on the beach. The kitchen is yellow like the sun, the living room is tan, like the sand, the bathroom is blue like the water. My accent is a lighter version of the sand color, I put a lot of thought into this, as you can see, lol.
