Foot Question?

Ok, so this might sound gross but I have to ask. I have a red mark under my pinky toe (on the top of my foot) and it hurts like a mo fo. I showed it to my sister and she said it was a bunion. Now I'm not 80 years old and everything I read says that bunions are under your big toe, not your pinky toe. It was there once before but went away (or didn't hurt anymore) about a week or 2 later. Now it's back and it really hurts to wear almost all my shoes and I can't wear flip flops at work. My sister told me to go to a podiatrist but I don't know of anyone.

Now, does anyone know I can get a bunion where I have one (it's a little raised, red dot and hard like bone)? And do I need to go to a podiatrist? AND does anyone know of one (and phone number so I can see if they take my insurance)? I would perfer Long Island, Nassau but I'll go somewhere in the Flushing/Bayside/Whitesone/Fresh Meadows area too.

I have a great foot dr in Farmingdale, Dr. Wooster. He's right on Main Street. He's so nice and explains everything to you.

Barb, I wasn't 100% sure if you were a podiatrists, worked for one, or I was imagining it so I posted this. I was going to FM you about it but I wasn't 100% sure. Sorry!

Is there an office that isn't in the city? I REALLY need to go because this REALLY hurts. If the office is also not in the city and takes my insurance, I'm coming to you. The city is just hard for me to get to.
