Furniture Shopping

Ok ladies, now that we are moving forward with this house business we have started looking at living room and den furniture. Here is my question...how the heck do you decide what you want in each room? Our condo was easy to fill up we really only bought a couch and a chair (we had a recliner we took from my parents so we didnt have to spend unnecessary money!)

We think we are going to leave the paint colors for now but might change them down the road. What do you think would go in these rooms?!

Also, contracts haven't been signed yet so I know this could fall through but I am just being hopeful and asking for help lol.

if you plan on entertaining often I would get a sectional in the living room!! We will be doing that at some point!

we were thinking a sectional in the den (where the tv would be)

The living room is going to be a more formal living room type thing since brad's grand piano will be going in there!

i don't have a specific furniture idea, but i will give you the link to my FAVORITE on-the-budget house decorating website: Young House Love! i use it for all of my decorating questions. the couple that runs this blog are 28 years-old, and they turned their shoddy house into something beautiful without spending a crazy amount of money. How foraml do you want the living room? My aunt has a baby grand and it is in her living room with 2 very nice chairs and a nice end table.

OMG ME TOO. Im so dealing with a zillion rooms. Its really hard but yet i kind of have a vision for what i want myhome to look like. I suggest looking through home mags & pull out things u love. But remember you have to have a realistic size of your room. Dont go over board & over fill the room. Me personally i love space. BTW until you have signed contracts dont buy anything & then after that you have at least 3 months. Good luck

BTW Im also a BIG fan of a very lovely stylish & classy very formal living room. SO that furniture should be really nice & seperates. Also no tv in this room. Thats why u have a den/family room. Plush Sectional with recliners & HUGE screen TV etc. At least thats my taste & vision. I also have a great built in bar in my new den so its total hang out & party room. lol A total different feel from the living room. Also of course my den is on a seperate floor from the classy living room. Anyway JMO

Thats what we were thinking. We actually thought about a love seat and a nice chair or something like that.

Im not buying anything yet (obviously) and probably won't be able to buy anything for a while lol
