Re: girls that fly or have recently flown...
how about those cozy socks like slipper socks.anything that's liquid or lotion or any of that has to be less than 3 oz... so only buy the mini bottles in the travel aisles.
i would buy a lolipop too.
and excedrine.
pretzels (i hate plane food and never eat it)
i can't believe you never flew... having gone to florida all those times!!

something that i would never buy for myself is one of those evian water face sprays. they're good for hydrating your face in the dry airplane. but it would have to be less than 3 oz

Tranquilizers
But in all honesty, I take Dramamine to knock me out for the flight. Some people take it for motion sickness. So maybe that?
How about a comb?

You can pretty much do any combination of liquids as long as they're under 3 oz and all fit into one clear plastic gallon-size bag. They sell stronger clear plastic bags, too, at places like Bed Bath & Beyond (they also sell TONS of these sorts of mini-items!). I highly recommend the tiny 1 oz bottles of hand sanitizer that bath & body works sells (they may even still be on sale for 5 / $5) -- they smell so much better than regular purell!I just flew to Boston last week and definitely needed a pack of tissues on my flight. The airplane is so dry! You can also do snacks like candy bars or jolly ranchers (great for sucking on during takeoff and landing so your ears pop). I always feel so dirty on planes because of the recycled air, so anything like face cleaner or wipes sounds good to me.
This is so sweet of you! I'm sure that your friend will totally appreciate it! Oh, another good idea is a face mask and earplugs! I hate listening to people snore or sneeze on the plane. For some reason that all makes me feel dirty too.
