Got the green light baby!

DH gave the thumbs up for planning a trip! We are going to try to go at some point in the next month - right when school finishes - so early/mid-May!

GUYS - I LOVE PLANNING TRIPS! I hunch over Trip Advisor and just read, read, read...

We have a bunch of non-vacation travel in June...
Las Vegas for work (DH is coming)
Washington DC for a wedding
Nantucket for a wedding (although we are adding extra days so it is a vacation-y)

That being said, we are going to try to sneak in a beachy, warm, long weekend...probably to the Caribbean!!!

I know I've asked about vaca suggestions in the past but this time it is for real!

PS - we went to turks and Caicos in 2009 and Providenciales just got voted Best Beach -2011 on Trip Advisor...highly highly recommended if anyone else is planning!

That's GREAT Heather! I'm a little jealous! BUT you deserve it after school is done!

I would recommend St. Thomas or St. Marteen! Both are beautiful and St. Marteen has shopping and beaches and you can take a boat over to St. Barts for the day! GORGEOUS! For a longer trip I would recommend Aruba but for a long weekend the flight isn't worth it.

I do want to ask, where did you stay in Turks and Caicos? We want to go there but the only all inclusives is either Club Med and Beaches but we're scared of Club Med being all singles and too many kids at Beaches?

We havent been to many places, but we went to St. Lucia on our HM and it was amazing!!!

I've seen AMAZING deals for Riveria Maya and Domincian Republic on cheapcarribean.com

We just booked Dreams in Punta Cana.

I 2nd St. Martin .. Its beautiful. You can rent a car and drive around the whole island and visit different beaches. We took the boat to St. Barths. So gorgeous. The water is AMAZING!!!

I highly recommend Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica. Everything is amazing there - the food, the staff, the location.

we are currently looking for a vacay for the last weekend in May ( our 1 year anni ) going into first week of June. Im pulling my hair out with the cost of flights to anywhere in the caribbean !! I really want to go to DR because they have some really nice all inclusives, but it would cost DH and I about $1400 total to fly there !!


The flights have been holding me back from booking anything.
