How did you attack your album?
DH and I finally sat down tonight to go through our retouched prints (we aren't even going to look at the disk with 1500+ un-retouched images) and we have to cut maybe about 35 images. We don't know if we are picking the right images! Did you pick images of your bp walking into the ceremony and/or hall? Are the pictures mostly of you and DH? I feel like we are leaving a lot of family out of the album . . . I could use some advice. Are you trying to tell a story with your pictures? I feel like we are tending toward the b+w and sepia prints more than color pictures as well as we prefer pics of us kissing to those with us 'head on' . . . we need help. TIA!!!

Re: How did you attack your album?
We started by just selecting all the pictures we liked. Then slowly took out similar images or ones we knew we didn't need( like we don't have a shot to each bp walking into the church or reception) But we do have important shots like DH with his family and siblings and Me with mine plus pictures with my grandma etc. You also have to consider some will be used as backgrounds if you have a digital album.

Re: How did you attack your album?
I pretty much chose all of the images and then DH either approved or vetoed.I tried to get all my favorite ones, but also a little of everything: me walking down the aisle with my dad, family shots, pics of me and DH, cake cutting, bridal party, etc. I wanted a variety- some from getting ready, some from church, and some from reception. I also did some posed and a few candids.

Re: How did you attack your album?
Thanks, Ladies. This is what I figured. But, for example, there is a pic of us with my great aunt that I'd like to include, but we didn't take a solo pic with DH's grandparents, so is it bad to include one and not the other? I just wish I had a clue as to what the album layout might be like.
Does anyone have any Duet album layout examples?

Re: How did you attack your album?
I don't have a Duet album to show you sorry but I will say that I think it's totally fine to put whatever you want in the album.I went through the pictures and picked out the ones I liked, then I went through them again. Then I sat down with my older sister and we made piles (ie: Bridesmaids at the ceremony, DH getting ready, Bride with parents, etc). We then went through to try and tell the best story possible. Our proofs were ours to keep so whatever ones didn't make the album that I liked, I put into collage frames around the apartment so they are still seen by everyone. Our photographer told us that we can move pictures around and what not when we get the proof and do it until we love the album. It's rough but telling a story (we got the storybook kind of album) was the easiest way to go.

Re: How did you attack your album?
I picked all the pictures for the album myself. Honestly DH didn't care/couldn't be bothered. I wanted my album right away. I picked pictures that would remind me of that day for years to come.Since I haven't bothered picking the songs for our video yet I am happy to have such a well thought out album. We also purchased the CD of all 1600 pictures that are flawless which I plan on putting into a general photo album one day.

Re: How did you attack your album?
this is your album - it should have what you want
i put all the pictures in chronological order, but that's just me. Oh, and most of the pics i used are of just DH and me. Though i did put a couple with our families and bridal party. i wanted to focus on us though
