I have M.I.A. lately

On Tuesday I left work to go to the doctor. Thought I needed an x-ray. My friend convinced me to go to the hospital, because they have more testing machines and I wouldn't have to wait to see what was wrong with me. I told her that I would probably be discharged immediately after they told me I just had gas. Needless to say I was in surgery within 24 hours.

I had tons of gall stones, pancreantitis and my liver started shutting down. How does that even happen when I thought I had gas pain??? I am grateful to my friend who made me go, because the Doctor told me that if I had waited any longer, all my organs would have shut down by the weekend. So I sit here, stitches in my belly button and scattered through my stomach, minus a gall bladder, eating my jello, bored out of my mind.

Time to take some happy pills and take a nap. In case you guys were wondering were I was, I am either on my couch or in my bed. LOL

this has been the worst month ever. nothing but bad news.
how horrible Carolann..... I am glad u went intime to the hospital and I hope ur hubby is taking a very good care of u right now

Thanks!!! He is!! I am shocked by how good he is taking care of me. I hate feeling useless, but I have no other choice. Just grateful I got to the hospital when I did.

I was playing my harmonica in the ER. I am sure they are happy I am home now.

My surgeon told me I look way too healthy to be as sick as I was. Damn pain tolerance. I had no idea. My friend gave me no choice. She drove me and stayed there to make sure I didn't leave. LOL Thanks for the well wishes. I will be home for a while. No allowed to do much, so feel free to play Words with friends with me. All my games were recently deleted. Need new scrabble buddies.

at least ur being positive
I hate percocet makes me vomit like a volcano within seconds

this is a perfect time to get ur DH do all the stuff he doesnt want to do. milk it girl!

Wow!!!!!! Scary - but really great of your friend being so persistent. Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery!!!!! Wish I had a phone to play Words with Friends....hoping in a couple weeks I'll be able to play!!!

Thanks ladies!!! Getting a little bit better each day. Tuesday I get the bandages off and he will tell me when I can go back to work. Not that I am in any rush to get back to the madness, but I hate feeling useless. Thanks for your well wishes and I will be back soon to torture and offend!!
