I sat next to a bride-to-be on the train today.

How do I know that she was a bride-to-be?

By the long-@ss checklist that she was frantically reviewing, along with her jotting down notes regarding final alterations and something about her florist.

I smiled to myself, knowing that this time last year, I was that girl. Maybe not nearly as frantic, but most definitely jotting down notes in my (Hello Kitty, natch) notepad while on the train. Ahhhh....now all I do on the train is read the Times or play Angry Birds or listen to my iPod.

I did not envy her.

no envy here either. i look at the chicas trying to run on a treadmill at the gym while reading BRIDE magazine and laugh to myself.

Whenever I see someone in the throes of wedding planning it kind of sends me into a spiral of anxiety...then I remember I don't ever have to do that again and I feel better

On the off chance that DH and I divorce and I do get married again...I'm playing someone to plan my elopement for me. I don't even want to plan THAT!

I can't wait to be one of those people. . . I am soo stressed, there's still soo much to do and all I do is fight with vendors because they are not providing the service that they promised to me, especially my florist!!!
