I was angry, then I got happy. LOL.

So, we told our apartment complex here we're breaking the lease due to Dh's job change. We already knew we have to pay 2 months rent to break a lease early and we are more than prepared - besides, the company is at least paying for our moving expenses which we weren't expecting (they only buy out your lease if they asked YOU to relocate). Not only do we have to pay $1290 x 2, but because today is the 5th, and our lease started on the 2nd of the month, they are charging us for 3 extra days - $125 total

So, we call the new place, and we asked if it was possible to get keys on the 18th, this way me and my SIL can drive out with my cats and keep them there, while I stay at SIL's house and DH and BIL come back out here the 22nd to retrieve all our stuff. I'd keep the cats at SIL's, but they have animals, and it would just be one big giant mess under one roof.

Listen to this; the property manager out there told us the lease technically starts on the 1st of November, but, because she understands our situation, she's giving us the keys and not charging us the half month's rent. Not only that, but she told us someone gave up there garage space, so she's throwing that in, for FREE. We also learned there is no yearly rent increase.

Jackpot.

(PS: CS, can we have a little guy that 'raises the roof'? because that's what I am doing at this current moment).
