It's already begun..

The insomnia. Work hasnt even started yet and I found myself tossing and turn all night until i finally took tylenol pm! I think the anxiety of going back to work and all of the house stuff is going to send me into a full on mental breakdown by Christmas! Please send happy thoughts that brad doesn't kill me before the stress does!

Re: It's already begun..

does knowing you are going to feel the anxiety help you at all? Can you prepare for it or do anything to lessen it?

It's weird, when I used to have panic attacks it would help me to know that it was anxiety. But when I go to sleep my mind just starts racing and i can't get it to stop..then I get frustrated that I am so anxious and it makes it worse! The never ending cycle ya know?

Re: It's already begun..

Oh Lauren ... know how you feel all too well. Wish I had something constructive for ya.

No joke, for awhile when my anxiety was terrible and I didn't sleep at all, I started taking two melatonin with warm milk every night before bed. Warm milk! I was still doing this when I met DH and our first few sleepovers were so embarrassing because I just HAD TO DO IT.

Anyway, it does get better. Just remember that your anxiety, much like the school year and life in general, has tons of peaks and valleys. Maybe once you hit your routine again you'll be peaking!

i know how that feels 100%... especially lately as i'm being weaned off my anti-anxiety medicine. it's getting worse, which makes me more anxious, and so on and so forth.

Re: It's already begun..

I think you're lucky! Mine started about two weeks ago! I have to take prescription medication to help me sleep - it's not a sleeping pill just anti-anxeity. I have been calling work all day today and a little yesterday (I was away last week) to check on my schedule - I'm afraid I will be a basketcase all weekend if I dont get some sort of resolution about this.

I'm glad I'm not the only one - so I hope it gives you some relief to know you are also not alone!

Yeah...i used to be on lexapro and it really helped. But i grew to feel lke i could handle it on my own and wanted to get off of it...I've been off of it for over 2 years and for the most part was doingwell...the end of the school year was really rough for me and i thought i'd be ready to go back after summer...apparently not though!

I really wantt o avoid taking meds if i can. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with them at all, but I didn't love the way i felt on lexapro and i ahte taking things that i don't absolutely have to, ya know?

It'll be ok! Just make sure you get lots of real hugs!

Btw, I like Advil PM. There's less of that drug hangover feeling the next day.

Re: It's already begun..

Lauren!!! I feel ya!!!! I am already having nightmares about going back!!!

It wouldn't be so bad but the commute kills me!!! I have to be out of the house by 6am!!!!!

And I am totally freaked about this year more than ever!!!

Check this out...

I am giving birth in January... so before that I need to....

Work on this certification class that I am taking where I have to go into the city 2x a month!!!! I don't go into the city now!!! But I will have to go in 8mos preggo!!!

I have to do 2 videos in class.

A case study.

Write papers.

Sell my mom's house.

Schedule her surgery, take care of her after her surgery.

Help her find a place, move into a place.

Plan my baby shower. ( Mom will be in no condition to do this, plus she just can't afford it... I would never want to burden her with it)

Possibly postpone the shower based on mom's recovery.

prepare for the baby....clean out the room, paint, organize etc!!!

And this is all before January!!!!!

AND I CAN'T TAKE MEDS!!!!!!!

Sorry to take over your post with my venting, but I gotta let it out!!!!

So I am with ya girl!!!

Let's call each other at 3 am when we are in tears and are
having heart palpations!!!!!

I miss Xanex!!!!
