Kinda gross...

I have a bruise under my big toenail from softball. I'm figuring it'll take time and just go away but my mom said yesterday that my toenail might fall off. Is that true???

Yup, totally true. My SIL lost her toenail after it got bruised.

I have lost a toenail before and it started off with a bruise. By the time it fell off it didn't hurt so hopefully your situation isn't too painful!

My friend who runs marathons always has bruised / missing toenails

But the nail will still grow. It maybe a while before it falls off so you have a chance to have a new nail following right behind. these things always seem to happen just as the nice weather starts to peak!

Yeah, I think that's what happened to her, so she had like a baby toenail at least. I'm not sure, maybe a week or two after she got the bruise? It just wouldn't go away.

then youre fine. whatever u do, DONT pull off your nail. no matter how loose it feels. theres prob another nail growing underneath. let that nail fall out naturally (if it does).

did u just get new sneakers?? maybe they are too tight???
