Kindle or Nook?

I'm going to buy one of these...any pros or cons of them? Anyone have a bad experience with one? TIA!

DH came home 3 weeks ago with a nook for me as a surprise and i LOVE it. If you google nook vs. kindle there are a bunch of sites that will compair them for you. I know thats how DH researched them before he picked the nook.

i have the new nook e-reader and it has the same screen as the kindle- no glare... i love that it has the touch screen because i feel like it makes it easier to use--- i don't know if the kindle can hook up to th library but the nook does which lets you 'check out' books for free

My girlfriend has the Nook...Color and she loves it. I played with it for a bit...and really thought, 'if I read magazines...this would be great!'..

I dont read magazines....... I read books. I dont need them in color... they aren't in color when I do read them... With my kindle...so color doesn't really count and I have a huge list to read from!

i have the Sony Reader. my mom got it for me for christmas like 2 years ago.
its great but a bit more complicated to upload books from. however, if i were to purchase one for myself, i would totally go for the Kindle!
