Last Day... excited...But...

As of 5pm - I am officially on VACATION!!!!!

The Plan: after DH gets home from work Saturday night - we hop in the car with the kids and take off - 6 hr drive upstate. (We've done this every year since DH and I have been together).

BUT gosh dang Irene has to come along and know who knows what to do...

yeah - supposed to be only 'rain' saturday night, but they're staying it starts late and will be lots of it (no winds yet)... and driving off LI in crazy rain isn't my idea of fun..... but if we stay to weather out the storm - who's to say we'll be able to even leave Monday or tuesday, depending on conditions...and that's 1/2 of our vacation gone!

just plain old sucks.

Ugh dammit Irene! She ruins everything. If you do decide to drive up Saturday, just be careful. Could DH possibly leave work early on Saturday so you can get a head start?
