Let's help people fill their Netflix queues!

I'm open to suggestions but I thought I'd share a list of some perhaps lesser-knowns or probably-missed movies that I think are awesome and you (everyone) might enjoy...

Please follow with your own list:

The Thing

This is a horror movie from the 80s starring Kurt Russell -- make sure you get the one from the 80s as there are several versions which are all good apparently - but this is the one I like.

It's VERY scary and Kurt Russell is super bada$$. Lots of jumpy-scare moments -- so if you don't like that kind of thing skip this... but if you are into being scared this is a great, fun movie.

Zodiac

Seriously one of my favorite movies of the last five years that A LOT of people missed. It's one of those movies that has EVERYONE in it. Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. -- but also Anthony Edwards, Chloë Sevigny, Adam Goldberg.

It's directed by David Fincher who just did The Social Network -- if you want to see WHY there's such a hype around that movie -- rent this. It's a detective/mystery movie about the Zodiac killer who was a serial killer in the 1970s. So great.

Book of Eli

Denzel and Gary Oldman (another one of my favorites) in this movie about a man named Eli who is on a cross-country adventure in a post-apocalyptic world. Interesting and smart twist at the end -- I still want to see this again.

Hotel Rwanda

Don Cheadle is a hotel manager is Rwanda during the Civil War that broke out there in the 90s. He risks his and his family's life to save over 1,000 of the refugees that are in hiding. Such a heartbreaking movie -- but everyone should really see it.

Other movies...so that my post doesn't get even more huge and blabbering:

The Mosquito Coast (Harrison Ford)
District 9
Zombieland
A Single Man (Colin Firth)
Cold Souls (Paul Giamatti)
Adam
Gorillas in the Mist
The Prestige (Director Christopher Nolan 'Dark Knight' and 'Inception' Starring Christian Bale, Scarlett Johanson, Hugh Jackman)

-Pan's Labrynth

ETA: -Black Dynamite: It's a satire of the 1970's 'blaxsploitation' films and it's ridiculous.
