Did you change your name on both?

My registration renews next month so I'll change it on the renewal. License has already been done.

Can I wait until my registration expires? I JUST got the new registration. Do I have to pay again?

Oy vey! How do you even change it on the title? My car is like 123 years old!! I'm dragging DH around with me to every one of these places.

Anything else you have to bring that I will probably forget? Insurance card? Proof of inspection (what is that?).

What else! Help please! I am also going to SS office - do I do DMV first?

When I changed my license and registration - I did not need the title with me - I just had my marriage certificate.
Didn't even think about changing the title...

I got a new car after the wedding so I didn't change the registration on my old car and they told me I didn't have to when I handed in the plates. However, to change your name, I don't think it matters if you go DMV or SS first. I went to DMV right after the honeymoon and I still haven't done SS (going to do that through the mail when i get my marriage license back from sending in for my passport.

To change your name on your title/registration, I would bring your old title and your marriage license. To change on your registration, bring the title (you might have to wait for the new title to come in before you can change the registration), marriage license and proof of insurance just in case.
