Lil Getaway (possibly)

So i was thinking after we close on the new house i would love to take DH away for his Bday. I love the idea of a lil getaway to Catalina Island. I was wondering if any of you have been there. If so how did u like it?? Also im looking into The Catalina Canyon Resort. Anyone know how this Hotel is?? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
