Louisville, KY

OK so DH and I are off to Louisville Thursday. We are there for a wedding that I am in, but we have at least 2 days of free time to see the city. Anyone been there? Any suggestions of things to do? Is the city safe?

Re: Louisville, KY

It's a very nice city. I went a couple of years ago for the Kentucky Derby. Here's the city's website.

Louisville, KY

DH loved the Louisville Slugger museum and the Mohammed Ali center. We also did a haunted Louisville tour (which we both liked).

I was actually surprised at how much there was to see an do.

As far as being safe, it's like every 'big' city. It's safe, but don't be crazy.

Thanks. The wedding itself is at the Kentucky Derby Museum and we are taking pictures at Churchill Downs, so I am excited about that.

I think the Louisville Slugger Museum is already on our must do list. Did you use the trolleys to get around the city. Our hotel is on the trolley line so I am wondering if that is a good method of transportation.

Did you go to 4th Street Live?

Re: Louisville, KY

we did do 4th Street Live - we ate the Irish Pub place - it was a lot of fun.

The trolley is very easy and convenient. What hotel are you staying at?

Re: Louisville, KY

We stayed at the Brown which was I think 4th and Broadway.

Honestly - I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. We were there for 3 days during the Derby and I kind of wish we had more time.

Enjoy!
