More Very Bad Names...

So I've heard of some bad names in my time...
I had a friend who is a doctor and when she delivered a set of twins and went to go check on the parents she asked what their names were. (The parents were from Central America somewhere, i forget where now, but were not born here and didn't speak any english)
So this couple had a and a and said, oh we didn't have to name them because the nurses were kind enough to name them for us. My friend was confused and said we aren't allowed to do that and then the couple told my friend that they named the boy male and the girl female however, they were unaware that the burses had just put male and female to see which was which and they pronounced it as mall-aye for male and fe-mall-aye for female.


Over the weekend, a surgeon i know was telling me a story about two different kids she had to perform surgery on.

The first, before the child was put to sleep, she asked him what his name was, and he said 'Absedy' so the surgeon said, can you spell that please and the boy did, his name was 'ABCDE'

The second child, a girl, was asked her name as well and she said it was 'Semahjay' and the surgeon asked her mother who was in the room to spell her name and she spelled it as 'Semaj' She said her father's name was James so they just spelled it backwards but pronounced it as 'Semahjay'


Why do parents do this to their children?
I would emancipate myself.

I'm sorry but.... male and female?! People shouldn't be allowed to breed!

Wow male and female? And who would think that a nurse names your child...that's ridiculous lol

i could actually understand 'male' and 'female' since the couple didn't speak very much english

but ABCDE and samej?!?!

i guess i should name my kids 'rom' (or 'narom' for my full name) and 'giarc'

that's just ridiculous. DH and I were just talking about how could some people name their children like the way some people do now?
