name change with dmv, before or after move?

so by sept 1st we'll be in a new state. DH is saying i should wait and do the dmv after we move so i dont have to do it for both states, but will this cause any problems with my name change? i think i may be thinking about this too much

it wont cause any problems...

I would wait... i had to pay 80something to change my license... im sure you'll have to pay in the new state too...

as someone who just got their name changed in Ohio and now has to go get everything done in PA...it's a huge annoyance! I would say to maybe get your SS card done when you're home and get everything else in your new state!

thats the plan, i figure as long as my social is changed it should be a bit easier, i hope anyway
