Need gift help...for a cheap husband! HELLPPPP

SO, Our 10 year dating anniversary is coming up (

) and we always planned to take a nice trip away to celebrate it. Well, so far, this year has been soooo stressful and full of expenses. Between my dads party, my sisters wedding, property taxes, car accident and lots of medical debt...we just cannot afford to do that. I am already married to the most 'cost conscious' man in Chicago, so this makes shopping for a gift for him or planning something special extremely hard. He has been complaining about every $ we spend, so he is making it sooo difficult for me to get him something nice.

I have toyed with idea of making him something (photobook, montage..something crafty) but I am not sure if thats sweet or cheesy.

DO you girls have any suggestions?

What about something from Groupon? Check it daily and see if there's a great deal for a nice restaurant or a show.

i like the photobook idea ...

for one of my ex's, i bought a nice box and filled it with 'memories' like a printout of our song, a photo of us, and a bunch of other random things ... this could be combined with the photobook idea too

if you want an actual gift, how about a mini-vacation somewhere .... or a trip to the vineyards out east

What if you went to a really nice restaurant and did a tasting menu. They can be pricey, but you get a lot of food and wine!

Did you see my FB post? If they lose it would be the worst anniversary ever! lol He turns into the hulk when they lose.

Actually I did think about it though! We have been talking about going and he was b!tching about the ticket prices. He said he would only get them from stub hub (which we have both never used). Do you know anything about stub hub?

Instead of buying him something why dont you plan a romantic dinner at home. Cook something you both love, get him a card and some kind of dessert he would love and spend it that way?

I entertain clients all the time. I always get my event tickets through Stubhub. Ive used them for years - they are great. And their customer service is amazing if you ever have a problem.
