Need Job Advice - Still haven't heard from them.

I applied for a job I really want and they called me at 4:04 on Friday. I was already on route to NJ and I missed the call. They only called my house and didn't try my cell. Should I call them tomorrow or wait for them to call me? Or should I give them a little time to contact me and if I don't hear from them then call them? If you think I should give them time, then how much time?

I should add they didn't leave a message. If I didn't have caller ID I wouldn't have known they had called.

I updated below, but not much to report.

I definately think you should call them, most people get sooo many responses for a JOB, if you didnt pick up, some one else probably did...Call them and let them know your interested, and sorry u missed the call, good luck....

I would definitely call them ASAP. When it comes to jobs they probably won't try twice, they'll just go on to the next candidate and think you're irresponsible. Which we know is definitely not the case!

See they didn't leave a message so if I didn't have caller ID I wouldn't even know they called. Why they called my house and not my cell I don't get. Both were on my resume.

I called them this morning and left a message with the secretary.

Hoping to hear from them.

Anyone think I should do anything else?

Send some prayers my way. It is not a teaching job but I think it might even be better for me. Its a great job and I think I would be perfect for it. I hope they give me a chance to come in.

You have to give it some time. It's only been one day and you never know what might have happened. Someone from HR could have been busy, out, etc. Just have some patience, I'd start being upset it it was a week and you hadn't heard from them again.

Try not to be upset. Mondays are stressful in most offices give them a few days. If you do not hear from them by the end of the week call again it cannot hurt.

Thanks Girls... in the meantime I am putting something great together to show them, JUST IN CASE.

I actually just got a sub job offer at Massapequa, but I really don't want to do another year of that. But this district is better in that the secretaries do the calling, not ASOEP.

This other job is in PR/Event Planning and I really am perfect for that field, in my Producing job I think I did as much event planning as I did production planning. Even though I wanted to change careers to be a teacher, I would be happy to go another direction since I am so good at it.

But at least I have a sub job.

I WANT THIS COMPANY TO CALL ME SO BADLY!!!!!
