happy (lucky) 7/7! speaking of lucky numbers or superstitions, are there any superstitions that you have personally? Did you follow any 'superstitions' for your wedding?i am not too superstitious but i did follow that whole 'something old...something new' tradition/superstition or whatever it is!
hope everyone stays cool today!

Re: NWQOTD 7/7
i kinda am superstisious...but not in a crazy kinda way lolif i here that its bad luck to do something or not to do something try and follow, if i cant that i dont let it drive me mad...
i did the sommething old, something new, something borrowed, something blue for our wedding...and also didnt see DH on our wedding day until we met at the alter...
i was told, and did follow this, that it was bad luck to use any gift we got (shower, engagement gifts) until after you were married...at first it kinda was annoying, but then once you are married its like christmas all over agaiN!! LOL

Re: NWQOTD 7/7
Dh & I are not really superstitious people. i barely did the something old, something borrowed for the wedding (my mom found a something old/borrowed the day of the wedding that i could use).we saw each other before the ceremony for pictures.
we used most of our shower gifts the day after we got them because we already lived together and couldnt wait to get new stuff lol.
we lived together before marriage.
the list goes on lol.

I couldn't help myself and totally did something old, etc. Always thought about that since I was a little girl! Just because I'm an adult and maybe know better didn't stop me!

Re: NWQOTD 7/7
I am a little superstitious in general, but wedding wise not really. Like, I know it’s superstition that the bride and groom can’t see each other the day of the wedding until the ceremony, but we actually spent the night together as usual and the morning of DH took me to my hair appt.

I'm not really superstitious but I did do the whole 'something old, something new' thing. And DH and I didn't see or speak to each other from the time we left the RD the night before till we met at the altar.

I don't think I'm a superstitious person, but I still feel like I do a lot of little things.I don't know if I did the something old something new... I think I did but I don't remember. I definitely didn't have a six pense in my shoe.
I always say 'bless you' when someone sneezes and I always throw a little extra salt over my left shoulder (into the sink lol) when I'm cooking with salt.

Re: NWQOTD 7/7
Yup. I followed the 'something old...' thing too.The best thing was, my 'something blue' was a guitar pic that belonged to Eddie Vedder...DH caught it when we saw Pearl Jam back in May, and it has some blue in it...my mother sewed it into my gown the morning of the wedding.
I've been active in theatre for about ten years now; I'm mad superstitious. It's the nature of the theatre!

Re: NWQOTD 7/7
We didn't see each other until the alter. We did old, new, borrowed, blue... though my mom insisted I should have a sixpence in my shoe, but since it was open toed I didn't do it.
At the shower I didn't cut any ribbons myself.
