NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
Good Morning Ladies & TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!The weekend couldn't come faster for me!
For most of us, we each look forward to spending time with our DH's and cathcing up on things.
But not all of us are on the same schedule.
How does your schedule and DH's schedule affect your lives? Or not at all?
DH has to work every 3rd Saturday. So he works this saturday and then doesn't work another saturday again for 3 weeks. I know it just comes out to one or 2 saturdays a month, but it takes a toll because DH will have off during the week one day and it will throw our whole schedule off. Plus he is more tired on the weekend where he does work and less gets down around the house.
I also really miss him since I'm alone all day

We work in the same company, so we go to work together, come home together
So no affect at all.

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
HUGE affect on us.... During the school year (DH is a teacher) i see him in the morning and when I get home.. it's also the only time I talk to him. MAYBE he will call me when he is on his way to either coaching, orchestra or home teaching but that doesnt always happen.During the summer - its kinda the same schedule, since he teaches swimming for summer school and does private lessons but I will hear from him during the day more.
We see eachother when we wake up and during dinner. That's why I make it a point for us to not eat dinner infront of the TV b/c its really the only time we talk.
The weekends we are with eachother just about every second.

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
His schedule def affects our life...He travels to Canada for work every other week, either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Thursday. We've encountered weather delays, mechanical issues, missing pilots or crew members, boarding the plane, taxi-ing to the runway, only to have to turn around, de-board the plane and wait for a new one.... So regardless of when he is scheduled to fly out or come home, it's always a crap-shoot.
My schedule is pretty routine, so I'm flexible whe it comes to dealing with his schedule.

DH works a lot
I see him in the mornings and then he dosent get home until almost 9 pm. He usually works Saturday just a few hours,so it's pretty annoying.

Now that there is no more overtime at our job
we have the same schedule since we work in the same office. before I'd used to go in on weekends, or he'd work late a few nights etc. Now its just 9-5 every day which is great (more time together and the dogs) but bad because extra money rocks!!

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
I just finished my mba after going 2 nights a week after work for 3.5 years. DH is an attorney but recently decided he wants to go back for his mba so now he's in school and I'm home.We both work unpredictable hours so it is hit or miss. We also both travel for work so that gets in the way too.
Thankfully, with everything going on between work and school and travel we find a way to get a lot of time in together...usually! I really start to miss him when our schedules get out of synch.

My husband is in the finance world and is always traveling. Enough said. But we try to make our weekends about us and our families. So I try to not complain so much. But I do miss him all the time. <3

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
Nothing really affects our lives, now that the wedding is over. Well actually that's a lie, since his surgery I have to do more of the running around. He leaves for work at 5:45 and I leave at 6:30 so we usually see each other in the morning, even if it's only for a second. When he's on furlough I just kiss him goodbye and then he's home when I get home. We get home when he's working around the same time.
We have dinner together every night, unless I have to be in FP for something and decide to eat at my parents house (sometimes he'll meet me there with my dad since my dad works around the block). On the weekends I usually get my nails done or hair but he'll drop me off and pick me up. He'll usually come shopping and run errands with me. RARELY I have a girls night but he'll just go hang out with his friends/sister/parents and then I'll pick him up afterwards.
WOW! i didn't realize how much time we spend together! Must be love, I can't stand ANYONE that much!

we're pretty much on a similar schedule except he leaves 15-20 earlier and i get home maybe 2 hours earlier. i eat alone at nights but i still get a few hours to hang out w/ him before we go to bed. although most of the times, he's passed out on the couch cuz he's so tired

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
Both of our work schedules are insane and never consistent, buy my schedule is definitely the culprit of not getting to spend time together. I do research in a lab, so basically whenever my experiment needs to be done, I have to do it. So I've randomly been in lab at 2am on some days, 6 am on others or stayed til 11 or midnight on some too. Normally I like to try to work 8am-6pm, but since I have no control its crazy. I usually work on weekends at least half a day both days too, so trying to plan anything is nuts.DHs schedule is a little more consistent than mine, he gets up at 5:30 every day to be at work by 6:45 and is usually home by 6 everyday, although sometimes he has to work as late as 8 or 9.
So really the weekends are all we have, and usually its only half days which really sucks. But hopefully that won't last forever.

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
DH owns a talent agency so he works from home 100% of the time. I work part time in an office, and the rest of the time I'm home with DH. Maybe within the next year I'll be working with DH from home as well so we will be together 24/7. We've done it before and it is SO nice!

Re: NWQOTD *~*~*August 5th*~*~*
DH and I have off together only on Sundays... and we have Thursday nights together... (ramdom Mondays).. so its tough. We see each other but not as often as we'd like. For me - I have the rest of the week to get together with friends and family etc..
but for him - he saves that time for us and doesn't see his friends. So I think it really effects him more.
