nwr - job advice

we are having a staff meeting tomorrow where they are discussing the possibility of a new event taking place from November through Christmas
The event would take place 7 days a week from 10am until 7pm (8pm on weekends). I currently work mon - fri 9am - 5pm

I already know they will need staffing for weekends...is it wrong of me to tell them that i have plans most of those weekends and offer to only work 1 weekend?

I dont want to put my job at jeopardy (and i dont think this can since its not my normal job)...but i also dont want to give up my weekends with DH. Its bad enough I would have to do it during the week which means I probably wouldnt be home until 9pm but to give up nights & dinners with him and my weekends doesnt seem fair. they wouldnt be paying us, i would just earn a day off for every weekend day i work.

they are not paying you? i think offering one weekend,. during those months especially, is fair.
