NYC bar reccs...

My sister's birthday is Memorial Day weekend so she put me in charge of finding a cool bar in the city to go out on 5/27. We're willing to go to any neighborhood and we want a place with a good crowd that plays good music but not a club because the boys aren't dancers lol Any recommendations?

We had an awesome time at Coyote Ugly for my B-party.

And we Go to Connelly's a lot, they usually have a good band playing.

I haven't been yet but check out Imperial Number 9 at the Mondrian Hotel in soho! I'vewalked by and it is GORGEOUSSSSS.

Also, while on the subject of hotels....the Thompson hotel has a great vibe!

YESSSS - it does look amazing, right?! I have heard nothing but great stuff about it! Not sure if it would be a bar scene that you could stay at all night but I would definitely put it on the itinerary!

Also, my friend has a really neat service called 'Ask Wass' (her last name is wasserman) - you can find her on facebook or ASKWASS.com. If you send her a question she'll get back to you within 24 hours with specific recos designed to meet your needs! I always ask her about where I should go! She is pretty good.
