Preserving your Dress

Right now my dress is sitting in my closet. I have no idea what to do with it in regards to preserving it. My 'cousin' wants to wear my dress when she gets married, and I would love for her to do so.

So....

What is the process?
Where should I go - I live in Merrick?
How much does it cost?

TIA

Re: Preserving your Dress

when is your cousin getting married. you could have the dress cleaned so that it will be clean for her to wear at her wedding and then you could get it back and have it preserved.

if your going to have it preserved, i had mine done with Davids Bridal and it was under $200

Re: Preserving your Dress

Paula - thank you so much. It's been quite awhile since I've last seen you at the good old BSDC, lol.

Please send me the info of the place you got your dress preserved.

I need to get it done soon - I'm tired of seeing it every time i open my closet and know that my time wearing it is over.

Re: Preserving your Dress

Hey Randi!!

I got mine done through David's Bridal. They have a service you purchase on the website where they send you a pre-paid label, box etc and you send it to them through UPS and then they send it back cleaned, preserved and in a pretty box. It got great reviews online. I just sent it out this week and I had a coupon and free shipping promo and it only costed me $108. Let me know if you want the coupon. I have your email somewhere, but remind me if you want it.
