* QOTD: Thurs 10/14 *

Like most people I never get a weekend to myself- there's alwyas a family party or errands or household chores. I'd love 24 hours with none of that!

That being said, if you had a full 24 hours with no prior obligations what would you do with it? What would your 'perfect day' consist of?

My ideal day would start with me waking up bright and early at 7AM (I'm a morning person). I'd fuel up then run a 10k with a great course. DH would meet me at the finish line. We'd go to IHOP to celebrate a great race with some pancakes.

After that, DH would take me to the outlets in Jersey (BEST ONE) and I would be able to get shopping done..including my christmas shopping. (Since it's my 'perfect' day DH wouldn't complain once!) While in Jersey, on the way home we'd stop at Dairy Queen.

After that, we'd home and take a quick nap. Then meet up with all our friends at our favorite local bar (Dempsey's) for boneless wings and drinks.

well this past weekend was really the first weekend in a long time we didn't have obligations so it was really nice.

we slept, took the dog to the dog park for a few hours, went out to nice dinners and drank wine, watched football, rented movies, etc. Just being able to relax with DH and do whatever we wanted was a nice change of pace.

A event free weekend is normal for us so we just run errands go out to eat and relax. DH and I refuse to book out every weekend so we say no to things

Honestly, probably nothing. Just a whoooooooooole lot of nothing. I just want to bum around and watch movies and eat junk food all day and not gain a pound!

yeah. its great to see ppl, party and do things...buut my default relax time is not getting out of my pjs, ordering in and watchin tv and napping. im so bad. lol

Yeah, we have been going and coming non-stop since we moved in together this summer and with the wedding and all we always had appointments and errands, and now that the wedding is over we have had a lot of guests over, each weekend someone new or someone elses wedding or party to attend, so we have not had one weekend alone where we did not have to go somewhere, entertain someone or do somethings....

at this point, if I had a free weekend with no obligations... I would also not want to change out of my pj's -except to go out to dinner at cheesecake factory and pig out!! i'd want to watch movies, play games, take naps, drink and eat and spend quality time with dh.

Seriously! It's insane! I think we've had one TOTALLY free weekend since the wedding!

well, on this perfect day, it would be perfect weather. that being said, i would wake up, put on my iPod, and take my dog out for a nice walk. maybe even DH would come if he doesn't complain . then, i'd get some poetry writing in at a local coffee shop, followed by shopping! Then, I'd cook with DH for the rest of the day and host a pot luck dinner with friends.


...there would also be ice cream somewhere in this day. lots of ice cream.

My perfect day would be waking up around 9:00 a.m, going to a diner to get breakfast. Coming back home and doing nothing~just laying around the house

Sometimes my DH & I do have days during the week when we are both totally free but only two or three of the following would get done...I would love to have all of it, all the time.


My Ideal Day.

We would wake up have a nice brunch.

Go to the Gym to take spin class.

Then go bowling.

Then have a picnic.

Walk around the park.

Then we would go watch a movie.

Then we would have a nice outdoor dinner at a fancy restaurant with a pretty view.

Then we'd go home and...

Wake up bright & early & do my 15 mile run & then head to the gym & get my strength training in. After that i would take a nice long massaging shower. Get a mani/pedi & myhair cut & bown out. Then go shopping & purchase my favorite Valentino bag. Coem home have the hubby cook & open a nice bottle of Santa Margherita & enjoy a relaxing evening with my hubby.

Same here!!!!
The best time would be around Chritmas and watch all my movies and cartoons in my Pjs with junk food too

I'm with you on that!! A perfect day for me will always include a run. I get bored not doing anything
