Re: Question of the day....
My cousin is in the Airforce but stationed in North Carolina. One her brothers was also in the Airforce but died in Afghanistan back in 2003. His helicopter crashed - left behind a wife and 3 sons. Although every funeral was sad this was the worst even though I was not that close to him. His family is from Massachusetts and for the funeral there must have been about 30 cars following the hearse when they went through town - the main strip in town was lined with people holding American flags paying their respects...saddest sight I've personally ever seen.ETA: My dad was in the Army and DH's dad was in the Navy.

My brother best friend has served 3 tours in the middle east and is now struggling to acclimate to civilian life. Watching him struggle breaks my heart. He is such an amazing kid and was so successful....he climbed the ranks to sniper and was invited into the delta forces. Also, my dad went to the naval academy and served in Vietnam. He is a real hero

In honor of memorial day I was wounding do any of you have anyw servicemen in your lives? If so who? Are they overseas now? If so when do they come home?My 1st cousin was a lieutenant in the green beret. He now works in Homeland Security but was over in Iraq for over a year.
My BIL was in the Amy Reserved but he already served in different places (never in Iraq though). He still won't talk about it though, not even with my SIL or his mom.
