Sad re: Thank You's

so Ive been trying to make a thank you for a while now and they're just not coming out great. I feel like I have no good 'thank you' worthy pictures...

and making it worse, we didnt get our thank you's from our photographer thus we only have the low res files (until the album is done) so they come out blurry on shutterfly or snap fish thank you's.

Can you just do a nice stationery with your names on it? My friend did this instead of a picture and it was very nice.

why dont you see if the photographer can do it for you? Even if you need the spend a little more, atleast they will come out nice.

if you pick a picture you like, will they email you the high res version???

I guess I can call them and ask how much it would be to have this done... Hopefully it wont be too astronomical as compared to the photo sites.

ohh maybe- I'm not sure if I like many of my pictures for a thank you though, but yeah, I will try this too!

i didnt really like too many of our pics either....but i went through them with a goal

for example, i wanted the TY card to have the 'typical' picture that shows a full body shot

by giving myself 'guidelines' it was pretty easy to only focus on a few.

I was going to suggest this and if you want a picture included maybe get a picture printed in a wallet size to insert into the stationery.

I did my thank yous on Kodak Gallery and got so many compliments! And they were VERY inexpensive compared to what you'd pay to do them through your photographer.

This is what you do: pick out the picture(s) that you want to use for your thank you. Ask your photog to please send you the high res version for you to use for your thank yous. If it's 1-3 pics, I cannot see them having an issue with that.

If it is an issue, I'd do nice stationary, but def try to ask for the high res first! HTH!

(also, I did sort of an alternative thank you - I can send it to you if you want - it has the traditional pic but then I included some candids and fun shots).

Also - I just looked at your review - the pic of you & your DH outside w/ all the lights (in the section where you review Fox Hollow) would be a great thank you pic, IMO!
