Re: San Francisco

i love San Francisco!! I went in late march/early April and it was beautiful. Definitely has the notorious fog but the weather was warm and when there was no fog, was beautiful, crisp weather. Its been a while but i think we stayed at the Marriott in Union Square but im not sure. It's pretty expensive and i shared a room with my bff who was there on business so we got a discount. you can check out my pictures on facebook (it was like 2007 so its like the first or second album in my photo gallery)

Cali for the anniversary?

We're thinking of hitting up the west coast for the one year too. Hubby's never been except to Las Vegas, so I'm excited!

Re: San Francisco

San Francisco is nice, pretty much any time of year is good. The fog is always an issue there in SF but it's still a nice city.

If you're gonna be in LA, San Diego is closer to LA than SF. Also a nice place to visit any time of the year.

Re: San Francisco

i went to san fran for part of my honeymoon and LOVED it!!! We stayed at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf which we liked. click for link

for food, i'd recommend:
http://www.boudinbakery.com/ we got a dungeness crab quesadilla which was amazing and the famous bread bowl soups

http://www.zunicafe.com/ if you go here, get the oven roasted chicken..takes an hour to prepare but it was sooo good....not so much of a touristy place, kind of out of the way, but we thought it was worth it

http://www.lafolie.com/ if you want a reallll splurge...this french restaurant was amazing! but

for tours
we did the alcatraz tour which I thought was cool and we went out to sonoma one day and used terrific tours click for link
We also went to the muir woods which was amazing, drove along route 1, went to sausalito, lombard street, etc.

there is so much to do!!! feel free to FM if you have any ?s

Re: San Francisco

My dad, stepmom and 2 half sisters live right outside of San Jose which is about 45 mins from San Francisco. I've been out there a bunch of times. Fisherman's Warf hotel is nice...everything is pretty pricey out there hotel wise, but that's because you're staying in a 'city' (similar to NYC). There's the trolly tour that you can take, the duck tour, the Alcatraz tour too! There's a Walt Disney family museum up there too...very cool if you like Disney. It's in the Presidio.

DON'T GO NEAR OAKLAND.......very sketchy...VERY VERY sketchy.

If you have specific questions, let me know and I'll ask my sister. She goes in San Fran alllllll the time just to walk around and people watch!
