Re: So that weather yesterday!

My FIL's surgery was yesterday so we were at North Shore Hospital. We walked out to a monsoon! BIL and I walked to the cars and got DRENCHED! Once we left the parking lot and made that left onto Community Drive it was hailing, people were pulling over, roads were flooded. MIL was in my backseat hiding and DH kept going 'ouch' every time a hail ball hit my car.

The lights were out all the way on Hillside Ave and all the way down Lakeville Rd.

When we turned onto my parents street it was clear and just drizzling. We got inside just about when it started to hail in FP. It was CRAZY!

My mom got home and she said home, used side streets and there was fire in the streets, floods everywhere and not an option to go back to the hospital. Meanwhile my dad came home from work (7-9 miles away - I cant remember how far exactly) and he said they got NOTHING!

I looked this morning and my roof and hood are completely dented in. Now, I have to call my insurance company. I'm covered but it's a $500 deductible

Re: So that weather yesterday!

ughhhhhhhhh those photos say it all

it took me 3 and a half hours to go from Bethpage to Forest Hills - on a no traffic day, 35 minutes, on a normal traffic day 45-50 minutes. Insane.

I almost ran out of gas so I got off the pkway and went ont o Northern Blvd. After I got gas, I reset my trip meter - I literally went 2.5 miles in 2 hours I just kept watching the meter tick up every 15 mins or so.... miserable.
