Re: So what's everyone reading at the moment?

a co-worker just gave me 'A Dog Year' and 'Good Dog' (i think thats it) both by Jon Katz.

they are true stories about a man with 2 labs who takes in a crazy border collie and his journey of training the wild dog to live in NJ. its quite funny...makes me giggle out loud

I always see 'Good Dog' in Target when I browse through their book section. Does it have an ending like Marley & Me? Because I just can't!

Re: So what's everyone reading at the moment?

I read a TON, and the most recent books I've been reading are the Queen Betsey series by MaryJanice Davidson (Undead and Unwed, Undead and Unemployed, etc....)...finished all those, waiting for the next one to come out in 3 weeks. Those are a combo of chick lit and vampires. Then I read the Eclipse Novella, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, and it was awful. I'm a huge Twilight series fan, and I friggen hated that book. All the Sookie books are great, you'll love them. The most recent one was a little slow, but still not awful. If you haven't read Sophie Kinsella, try her too, and the other MaryJanice Davidson books are good too. I have a whole list of books to read, but these are the authors I've currently read so can recommend.

Re: So what's everyone reading at the moment?

I am a big fan of Jane Green's books. They are easy reads, perfect for summer. Personal favorites are Mister Maybe and Jemina J.

But they are all good

I am reading Giffin's Something Borrowed now. I am struggling to get interested.

I read The Help last summer (it was the first book I downloaded on my Kindle). It was the best book I read in a long time. I just was telling my friend the other day, I need to find a book like the Help!

It was so good - I still miss the characters.

Some of my recent reads:

Sarah's Key
A Reliable Wife
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I recently read Sarah's Key. That was one I could not put down. I am reading The Help now.

Re: So what's everyone reading at the moment?

If you want a funny non-fiction book I recommend Bill Bryson. His books are about his travel experiences and are so funny. A Walk in the Woods is really great, its about hiking the Appalachian Trail.

An interesting book is A Killer Summer. Its kind of a chick-lit mystery. Easy read, not great writing, but its a good beach read. Its set on Fire Island.

Just finished this. It was soooo good! I seriously read it in like 3 days (big deal for a non-reader like me) I could not put it down.

Re: So what's everyone reading at the moment?

Just bought Jennifer Weiner's Best Friends Forever. I am only on like chapter 3, so I can't say how it is, but I've heard good things.

Next on my list are The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (and the 2nd and 3rd one) and A Reliable Wife.
