Speaking of shoes and shopping....

Did you ever have to lie to your DH about your spending habits? lol

At one point in my life.. I would buy shoes every other day. It got to a point where DH had to sit me down and have an intervention with me.. So what did I do?

The next day.. I ordered the shoes to my friends house.. and then when they arrived.. she brought them to work.. and I wore them on my way home. DH never even realized that they were new.. and I was IN THE CLEAR!! Holler!!!!!!

Re: Speaking of shoes and shopping....

I don't feel the need to. While we do have joint checking and savings account, I contribute 50% of what goes into the account. For big purchases (over $100 we do usually give each other a heads up and make sure its do-able).

He has his things he likes to buy (new baseball bats, video games, etc) and I like shopping for clothes and bags. I try to be responsible so we haven't had issues.

Re: Speaking of shoes and shopping....

That's hardcore! I Love it!

DH has told me to wear the things i buy more often, but I like to save my shoes for fun/cool occasions and weekends. Plus I don't like to call attention to myself at work bc MIL is very annoying.
He tells me I shouldn't waste my money on things I don't wear blah blah blah
I DO wear the things I buy though.

I did hide a pair of boots from him fairly recently, but then I put them on and told him about them anyway. He thought they were really hot and he loved that I got a deal on them.

Re: Speaking of shoes and shopping....

I've been known to sneak shoes into the closet and add them to my collection. DH caught me once though and was like 'what's that?' I answered 'nothing...............' He told me I'm going to have to start getting rid of a few pairs if I'm going to keep buying
